State Center Consortium is a grant funded entity of State Center Community College District, a partnership that connects school districts, colleges, and businesses to advance Career Technical Education.

Who We Are

We are a grant funded organization located in the heart of California in the San Joaquin Valley. Our grants usually come from Carl Perkins and Tech Prep funds distributed through the California Department of Education and the California Community College Chancellor’s Office. and our work assignments and projects are related to Career Technical Education (CTE). All of our staff members have CTE backgrounds and have come from either the K-12 or the community college systems.

State Center Consortium(SCC) has an Advisory Committee that supports and advises all SCC events and activities. This Committee meets five times a year and consists of partners from local K-12 schools, community colleges, state colleges, and business members.

What We Do

Our grants activities support the California State CTE Plan and Tech Prep directives of articulation between secondary and post secondary institutions, programs of study, professional development for teachers, faculty, counselors, and administrators, job readiness/preparatory services, equal access to Tech Prep programs for special populations, development of Industry Sectors materials and pathways, and staff support and training for new CTE teachers. SCC also hosts a dynamic web site that processes articulation applications, posts 2+2 agreements, markets professional development/registration, offers educational information, curriculum and links for CTE programs and the California Industry Sectors.
