- English Standards merged with Ed Careers—how are we doing this? Brainstorm ideas. Bring ideas.
- Essays Assigned throughout the year—brainstorm ideas for writing assignments through the year. How are we teaching students to write an essay?
- Teaching lesson plan creation to students. We all do it, but how does each teacher help students learn and practice this important skill?
- CBEST preparation ideas
- Reading Strategies for reading the primary textbook and literary pieces.
- Vocabulary Development throughout the year
- How to Teach: resume writing, applying for jobs/filling out application ideas, practice and preparation for job interviews…
- EAP Preparation (particularly essay writing samples) Early Assessment Program for the CSU system
- Helpful Forms for organizing attendance, record-keeping, unscheduled time, etc.—bring ideas and samples of forms that help teachers keep track of students in community classroom, etc.
- Free time for sharing great ideas for field trips, class assignments, guest speakers…
A continental breakfast and lunch will be served. Additionally, substitute costs can be covered by invoicing SCC.
