Opening Keynote - James Carson
James Carson is a Professor of Information Systems at Porterville College where he has taught for 11 years. Prior to his current teaching assignment, he worked as Business/Computer teacher at Monache High School in Porterville for 7 years. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he is a board member for St. Anne’s School in Porterville. Another area of interest for Mr. Carson is his work as Tech Prep Coordinator for the Porterville area. In this capacity, he has created several very successful outreach events for Porterville College. One of his favorite events is High School Senior Day at Porterville College where over 1300 students are brought to the campus to see first-hand how CTE programs can benefit area students. Mr. Carson is married and has three wonderful children (two of which will be presenting as well).

- Preparing children at a young age to be computer literate.
- How to use multiple resources.
- Free technology that can benefit all of our teaching.
- Learning FROM our students (many are more savvy in technological areas than we may be).
Special Early Bird Registration price of $40 is available through Sunday, April 3, 2011. The regular conference registration price of $45 will be in effect from Monday, April 4-9, 2011.
